Using 8 timber blocks, dig down a few cm and using a rubber mallet, create a timber support to keep the blocks tight together. now the base is built you can start to build your shed on top. once the shed is built, we recommend using an anchor kit as this will join the shed and base to stop movement.. Hi all, i am wanting a few pointers on building a 5m x 2.5m x 3m outdoor shed i would like to build it on my back garden, how deep would the concrete base need to be?. I laid block along the perimeter level with the ground, framed a base from 2x4 on edge which sits on those blocks, then screwed 3/4 ply on that. i also have an anchor system that uses 4 augers which screw into the ground, 2 on each side, and then ran cable up and over the top, one side to the other..
