Great Pyrenees Shedding Help

To those of you wondering if pyrs shed much, the answer is an unequivocal "yes".. I love my baby, and want to help him but have no idea what it could be. i have owned other pyrenees mix breeds before and other long haired dogs including a komondor female. they have been raised together as pups. my dogs are very spoiled. his diet and food has not changed a bit.. Best answer: the pink skin is normal. and so is the shedding you are describing. i own 11 great pyrenees and brush daily also and yeah it is almost like shearing a sheep this time of year. the pyrs also shed their thick undercoat this time of year as it is getting warmer out. give him a good bath and try.
