Remove window stool: if the existing window stool doesn’t extend past the drywall on each side by the width of the new wood casing plus 1/2”, remove it and the apron molding under it by cutting through the caulking with a utility knife, then using a pry bar and hammer to take it out.. All oak door casings over 250mm wide are made in sections and come jointed, ready for you to fit. all door casings come with either a 35mm x 12mm or a 44mm x 12mm rebate. we offer a bespoke service for oak door casings, if you can’t find the size you require on the shop, please ring the office for other sizes..
